So our holiday has come to an end. But I’ll start planning the next one, almost as soon as we get home and, in the meantime, there’s the small matter of a house in France to consider!

We arrived at CDG early, thinking we had oodles of time, but no, Charles de Gaulle didn’t disappoint again, so we’ve now won the trifecta of bad airport experiences here. To be fair, the issue was with staffing at Etihad check in. Not sure why they thought 3 people could process 2 large tour groups (all with copious amounts of luggage), plus the same number again of individual travellers? And why the 4 check in staff for business and first class who were twiddling their thumbs and just looking at the ever increasing queue for economy check in, didn’t offer to help? However, we made it to our gate with about 20 minutes  to spare, so at least this time we didn’t have plane door slammed on our backsides…it was quite a pleasant change.

A wee bit cheesy (okay, a lot!) I know, but since we did have a minute to spare, we had this gorgeous photo taken. Unfortunately, it’s a bit cut off at the bottom, but you get the picture…or part of it, anyway!
