My fur lined boots….bliss, when it freezing outside. And soooooo comfortable!

Our 250 year old stairway. I’d love to know who’s run up and down these steps in the past, just like I do everyday now….

My brocante finds. I love poking about in old shops and I’ve found a few things I love. There will be more no doubt, but I’m happy to wait and accumulate them over time. It’s part of the fun of being here.  The coffee table was a master stroke of luck, it’s just gorgeous (in my opinion, anyway!) and came up a treat with some furniture polish.

I followed these emblems throughout Spain and now I am finding them here in France, even in our own little town of Montmorillon. I think someone is telling me my Camino isn’t yet finished. I hope so, anyway..

    1. Thanks Anne, we are really thrilled with our finds. It’s a shame we are not here for the warmer weather, there are brocantes all over the place then. I’ve bought bowls hand painted in Portugal, the large, round blue and white platters are Delft, the teapot is Limoges porcelain and the vases are Coalport porcelain. All for the princely sum of around 50 euros!

  1. I know what the symbol is!
The French had an echidna too but it became extinct, so they made up symbols to remind themselves to protect their wildlife…….Non.
    Oh well, I tried!!!

    1. Actually, it does look like an echidna!! I wonder why the pilgrims all those hundreds of years ago wanted to follow one of those? Sounds like something that should have been in the ‘Life of Brian’
